RE: Your Reply to "Elmo's" on Medical Marijuana
Mr. Arnett;
Writing you here is John Mark King of Burkesville Ky. I found your comments in response to 'Elmo's' piece on medical marijuana to be extremely interesting, and would like to bring a few things to you attention just to ponder on. First off let me give you just a little background info on myself to give you a clearer picture (or should I say 'profile') of who is addressing you on this subject.
One could easily describe me as part of the 'patriot movement' I am a proud member of the Kentucky League of the South, I and the organisation I belong to seek the cultural, social, economic, and POLITICAL well-being and independence (yes, I'm a fire eating secessionist) for ALL the people of the Southern States. Contrary to what the ADL and Morris Dees' Southern 'Poverty' (at more than $60 Mil in the till? PLEASE!) 'law' Center (SPLC) GET PAID (and well paid at that --at the expense of MY tax dollars) may 'advise' law enforcement personell such as yourself we are NOT a 'racist' or bigoted organisation. Membership in the League of the South is open to members of the Black community and many have joined us.
Despite my long hair and beard I DO NOT use marijuana for ANY purpose, but I also DO NOT object to ADULTS (above age 18) to use it for medicinal or even recreational purposes. That is their own business as far as I am concerned, if I catch anyone trying to give it to my 9 year old daughter, they better hope YOU get to them BEFORE I DO. I think its idiotic to send people to prison for years on end over marijuana. I do NOT equate it with other drugs like heroin or cocaine. In the 1980s when I was in the US Army Military Police Corps we were taught the difference between marijuana and these other 'hard' drugs.
What I found so interesting was your comments regarding the supremacy of Federal Law in this matter. You are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT Federal Law does take precedence over State Law, however, I feel you choice of analogy seems to justify that. No one in Kentucky would suggest making a 'murder is OK' law. Did they teach you that in Goon School? You seem to be learning their 'lessons' well and that is disturbing.
What if, on the other hand, Kentucky for purely economic reasons decided to pass laws allowing farmers to once more grow basic hemp, and the Federal Gov't said 'NO WAY!' They would still have primacy over the matter but would they NOW be right? My Grandfather used to raise hemp for the Army and Navy during WWII. The Federal Gov't said it was OK then-- they needed the rope for the war. Do you realise what a boon to the economy of Kentucky the production of hemp would mean?
In recent years they have found about as many uses for the fibers, resins, and oils found in hemp as George Washington Carver found for the peanut. It can be used to make clothing, paper, cooking oils, motor oils, oil base for paints, the list goes on and on. Wanna WIN the 'war on drugs', allow us poor old hayseed farmers to grow hemp and see what happens to marijuana crops. See Jeff, mari- juana is a HYBRID variant of the basic hemp plant.
Once those hybrids cross polinate with the NATURAL hemp....well let's just say the 'pot heads' had better enjoy that years run, cause next year's SEEDS have been RUINED.
Bet you never heard of that in Goon School did you Jeff? Funny how government types NEVER think logically or in a straightforward manner aint it? All government wants to do is figure out more ways to justify wasting our tax dollars, and putting poor folks in prison who might have managed to get a dime that the government was'nt able to get its grubby hands on.
So you see Jeff, just cause the Federal Government has a 'plan' does'nt mean it's a good one. So I'll ask you again do you think the Federal SHOULD have supremacy over the State in ALL matters?
Something else I found intriguing about your commentary. You said it would take 3 days to inform all of us all that you 'know' about marijuana? How much DO YOU REALLY KNOW Jeff? You confidently dismiss what medical experts that 'Elmo' presented to back up his position by saying that there were ... What? Hundreds of corrupt doctors willing to say anything for the money... Was'nt that near how you put it?
What about the doctors that informed your 'knowledge' on the subject? No corruption to be found there? They don't see a gravy train in GUARANTEED tax subsidies by telling police what they want to hear about marijuana? Did they tell you about the fargile difference between HYBRIDS and NATURAL plants as I HAVE DONE??? Are you SURE their 'findings' are HONEST and
come without any other economic agenda?
Marijuana CAUSES Cancer?! That's funny, just a few years ago a friend of mine who DI NOT smoke ANYTHING, nor drink alcohol, nor even eat very many red dyed hot dogs that I recall came down with lymphoma cancer. The doctor, a SPECIALIST by the way said something I will never forget when my friend wondered WHY she came down with cancer. He simply stated "The truth of the matter is we (the medical profession) DON'T KNOW WHAT CAUSES cancer" WOW!
What about that testimonial Jeff? A medical specialist says that all of doctorhood DOES NOT KNOW what 'causes cancer'.
My friend was indigent (that means poor) at the time and her medical bills were paid by social security (boy was she ever lucky there) and by the support of our local community (who needs any Federal gumment anyways), so the good doc had no reason to tell her what she wanted to hear, and by the way that he nor all of medical science DID'NT know what caused cancer, was'nt what she wanted to hear anyway!!!
So again I must ask you Jeff---WHAT makes you so confident that the doctors that inform you are so 'just' and 'right', while the doctors that inform the 'Elmos' of this world are so 'wrong' or have 'hidden economic agendas'??? Are you SURE???? ABSOLUTELY SURE????
Lots to THINK about aint it Jeff. I know I probably risking around $10,000 dollars worth of institutionalised brainwashing here. And I know good little obedient candidates for future goon squads are hard to find these days (I'll bet Hitler too had a hard time finding 'suitable' policemen didn't he?), but after all Jeff, a mind IS a terrible thing to waste, and I fear more what might be done to your mind by the Goondaddies that trianed you than I will EVER fear out of a plant that Almighty God Himself put on this here Good Earth!!!!!!!!
But I sense there's hope for you Jeff, you've already demonstrated that your 'light years' ahead of many that graduate goon academies year in--year out. You've at least got the decency to TALK TO US about these issues. Seriously I hope I have not offended you, but I did want to get your interest piqued. Please keep in touch, and I would be interested in discussing more with you about Federal Supremacy versus States Rights.
Your servant,
John Mark King Burkesville, Ky.
